Our Business activities and functions – the RateMatch AI Platform

Our primary service involves providing an online multi-sided marketplace using Our RateMatch AI Platform.

Our RateMatch AI Platform:

• enables individuals and companies (Customers) who use third party white labelled websites (Referrer's Websites) to make requests for information about loan offers (Customer Requests) to RateMatch's portfolio of banks, financial institutions and credit providers (Lenders) who provide information about those loan offers to Our Customers via the original Referrer's Websites;
• qualifies the Customers' Requests using AI and other technologies and usually conducts a "soft credit check" on the Customer with one or more third party providers (a soft credit check is a high level enquiry into a person's credit standing with certain credit agencies, where such enquiry does not affect that person's current or future credit rating, score, file or record). Our portfolio of Lenders provide the RateMatch AI Platform with some of their primary lending criteria for providing various loan types to customers who meet those primary lending criteria;
• matches any Customer Request (as further qualified by Us) to one or more Lenders who want to offer information about their Loans to Customers who meet their qualifying criteria;
• provides the Customer with loan offer information from Lenders whose primary lending criteria matched the Customer Request;
• enables Customers to elect to communicate with one or more potential Lenders to seek further information. The Customer and Lender then complete any loan arrangements outside of the RateMatch Platform;
• enables Us and Our Lenders, subcontractors and third parties, (including advertisers) to market promote and supply services, goods, advertising and information to Customers.

Our other business activities and functions include:

• the marketing, promotion and supply of services, goods, advertising and information in connection with the RateMatch AI Platform to customers, and other business associates, directly and indirectly;
• promoting, offering, selling and performing professional services, including consulting, support and training in connection with the RateMatch AI Platform; and
• any business activities related or ancillary to any of the activities set out above.

We will update this Privacy Policy from time to time at Our discretion, so you should visit Our website regularly to see the latest copy of the Privacy Policy.

Customer Specific Consent when using the RateMatch AI Platform

When a Consumer makes a Customer Request for information about a loan from any of RateMatch's Lenders via a Referrer's Website, RateMatch always obtains the Customer's specific consent for use of any Personal Information that is provided by that Customer via that Referrer's Website for any that may be made of the Personal Information by RateMatch, the Lenders and other participants in the RateMatch AI business activities. In this specific case, this Privacy Policy does not apply.

Privacy Policy for General Business Use

This Privacy Policy relates to how We collect, hold, use, manage, process and disclose Personal Information that We collect in Our own name and for Our purposes where that Personal Information is not subject to Customer Specific Consent that has been obtained by Us using the RateMatch AI Platform (General Business Use). General Business Use includes where any participant in the RateMatch AI Platform other than a Customer (as defined above) uses the RateMatch AI Platform, including use by Lenders, Referrer's, advertisers and other business associates.

Defined Terms in this Privacy Policy

"Personal Information" is defined to means information that is defined under Australian privacy laws as Personal Information or other information that is subject to Australian privacy laws, where Australian privacy laws apply.

"Sensitive Information" means information that is defined under Australian privacy laws as "sensitive information".

2. What Personal Information do We Collect and Hold?

We may collect and hold the following types of Personal Information for General Business Use:

• name, honorific or title, gender, date of birth and relationship to other individuals (e.g. record of next of kin or emergency contact);
• personal and business address, phone number, fax number, email address, addresses/contact details/identifiers used in social media, electronic communications or business cards;
• individuals' business or vocation status, including job role, job description, employment status, education status, education institute, courses, status and identifiers;
• voicemail recordings left in Our systems and images that individuals have made publicly available or provided to Us;

We collect Personal Information in a number of ways for General Business Use, including:

• through the RateMatch AI Platform;
• through communications with you, including letters, emails, telephone calls, voicemail messages, facsimiles, surveys, competitions and via social media applications;

• in the course of you using Our software programs and services;

Sometimes information that you upload is provided with associated metadata. If you do not want Us or Our suppliers or business associates to use the metadata you must remove it by erasure from the underlying document/materials properties before uploading it onto the website.

Our website and Our RateMatch AI Platform include links to other websites, applications and tools that are not owned or operated by Us. We are not responsible for the content of those websites, applications or tools, nor for any products, services or information contained in them or offered through them.
